How to check if ChatGPT or Gemini recommends your business
The problem: a business has no way to tell whether ChatGPT or Gemini recommends it when buyers ask for the best option in its category.
Check by hand
- Write 5 questions a buyer would really ask, like "best [what you sell] for [who you serve]" or "who should I hire for [the job] in [your city]?"
- Ask each question in ChatGPT and in Gemini. Use a fresh chat so your past conversations don't change the answers.
- For every answer, note whether your business is named, where it appears in the list, which competitors are named, and which websites are cited.
- Your share is the number of answers that name you out of all the answers. Then look at the cited websites: those are the places that shape the answers.
- Repeat every week. AI answers change, so one check is only a snapshot.
What the free check does
You enter your website and what you sell. CitedWeekly writes 5 buyer questions and asks them to ChatGPT and Gemini. You get a score from 0 to 100, the competitors that were named instead of you, and the sources the AI cited. If you want it to run every week, paid plans re-run your questions every Monday and email you what changed: Starter $19/mo, Pro $49/mo, Agency $99/mo. Every plan has a 7-day trial.
