Does ChatGPT recommend Pizzeria Libretto for pizza in Toronto? We asked ChatGPT and Gemini

The short answer
Yes, mostly. On October 21, 2026, ChatGPT named Pizzeria Libretto in 4 of 5 answers and Gemini named it in 4 of 5, for 8 of 10 overall and a visibility score of 69/100. Both engines listed it first when asked about the most popular family-friendly pizzerias in Toronto.
The gap is delivery. When asked "What is the top-rated pizza spot in Toronto for delivery?", neither engine named Pizzeria Libretto. ChatGPT named Pizzeria Badiali, Maker Pizza, Boston Piizze, Pizzaiolo Gourmet Pizza, Pizza Nova and King Slice. Gemini named Maker Pizza, North of Brooklyn Pizzeria, Mac's Pizza, 8Mile, Descendant Detroit Style Pizza and Blondies Pizza.
Where Libretto ranked in each answer
Being named is not the same as being first. Here is where Pizzeria Libretto appeared in each list: gluten-free options, #6 on ChatGPT and #2 on Gemini; gourmet toppings, #4 on both; vegan pizza, #8 on ChatGPT and #2 on Gemini; family-friendly, #1 on both; delivery, not named on either.
So Gemini tends to place it near the top, while ChatGPT often names it lower in longer lists. A buyer who reads only the first two or three names in a ChatGPT answer would miss it on the gluten-free and vegan questions.
Who AI recommends alongside it
Across the 10 answers, the pizzerias named most often besides Libretto were Pizzeria Badiali (4 answers), North of Brooklyn Pizzeria (4), Descendant Detroit Style Pizza (3) and Maker Pizza (3), followed by Pi Co., Pizzaiolo, Afro's Pizza and Il Fornello (2 each). Maker Pizza is the clearest example of a niche win: it was named by both engines on the delivery question, where Libretto was missing.

What shapes local AI answers
The cited sources tell you where these answers come from. In this check, google.com was cited 34 times, every one a Google Maps link that ChatGPT attached to the restaurants it named, reddit.com 10 times, and the restaurant's own site pizzerialibretto.com twice. Local food sites showed up too: tastet.ca, streetsoftoronto.com, diaryofatorontogirl.com and foodism.ca.
For a local business, that points to three levers: a complete, active Google Business Profile with reviews that use the words buyers search for ("gluten-free", "vegan", "delivery", "family"); being discussed in local Reddit threads; and coverage in city food guides and blogs that AI tools already cite.
How to get recommended by ChatGPT as a local restaurant
Make each use case explicit on your own site. Libretto was missed on delivery. If you deliver, say so on a dedicated page with the areas you cover and the apps you use, because AI answers lean on clear, quotable statements.
Collect reviews that mention specific occasions and diets. The questions buyers ask are narrow ("vegan pizza", "family-friendly"), and reviews that use the same words give the engines something to match.
Get into the lists AI already reads. Pitch the local guides that were cited here, and answer honestly when your spot comes up on Reddit.
Re-check every week. AI answers change as new reviews and articles appear, so a single check is a snapshot, not a ranking you keep.
