The short answer: MailerLite was named more often
On October 21, 2026, MailerLite was named in 8 of 10 answers. Mailchimp was named in 6 of 10 (3 of 5 on ChatGPT and 3 of 5 on Gemini), for a visibility score of 51/100. Brevo, at 7 of 10, was also named more often than Mailchimp.
MailerLite appeared on both engines for four of the five questions: small budgets, automation, beginners, and analytics. Mailchimp was missing from both engines' answers to the automation question, and Gemini also left it out of its answer for small businesses on a limited budget.

The head-to-head table below shows each answer. A few things stand out. On the beginner question ("What are the most user-friendly email marketing tools for beginners?"), both engines listed MailerLite before Mailchimp: ChatGPT put Mailchimp at #2 and Gemini at #5. On analytics and reporting, ChatGPT ranked Mailchimp #1, its best result in this check, while Gemini named it #5.
E-commerce was the one question where Mailchimp beat MailerLite: Gemini named Mailchimp (#4) and neither engine named MailerLite. But the winners there were Klaviyo and Omnisend, which both engines named.

Across the 10 answers, the most-named tools after MailerLite were Brevo (7 answers), ActiveCampaign (5) and Klaviyo (5), followed by HubSpot Marketing Hub, Omnisend, Sender and Kit (2 each). ChatGPT also named Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, Emma, iContact and VerticalResponse in single answers.
For anyone comparing tools, this is what a buyer actually sees: a shortlist of four to six names per answer, with Mailchimp often present but rarely on top, apart from ChatGPT's analytics answer.
Why MailerLite shows up more
The sources the engines cited give part of the answer. techradar.com was cited 10 times, mailerlite.com 6 times, and constantcontact.com and emailvendorselection.com 5 times each. Mailchimp's own site was not among the top cited sources in this check. MailerLite's own pages being cited 6 times suggests its comparison and guide content is being picked up and quoted when AI tools search the web.
This is the core of AI visibility: engines that search before answering pull from review sites, comparison articles and vendors' own explainers. A brand with clear, current pages that answer the exact buyer question has a better chance of being quoted, whatever its market share.
